Letterkenny Shopping Centre welcomes Eugene Donnelly for the motor event finale.
Saturday was the final day of Letterkenny Shopping Centre’s Motor Rally campaign that exhibited vintage rally cars, top of the range motorbikes and a rally photography exhibition. Throughout the campaign the message of road safety was at the forefront as Eugene appeared on local newspaper and radio to communicate a safe driving message. On Saturday Eugene Donnelly met the general public, signed autographs and talked about road safety.

Saturday was also an exciting day for local man, James King (22) who won the grand prize of a trip or two people to rally school Ireland and the chance to race Eugene Donnelly on the racing simulator. James raced Eugene and scored a magnificent victory and unusually Eugene had to play second fiddle to the local man.

Letterkenny Shopping Centre Manager, Brian McCracken stated,’ we are very proud to welcome a champion of Eugene Donnelly’s calibre not just to promote himself and motorsport but more importantly to drive home the message of road safety in Donegal. Eugene, being long time advocate of road safety and a local hero was the perfect candidate. Seeing the large crowds today was a testament to his popularity.’
