Letterkenny Shopping Centre celebrated its 25th birthday last weekend, Friday 23rd – Sunday 25th April. To celebrate and mark this momentous occasion, the management of Letterkenny Shopping Centre arranged a full weekend line-up of fun – filled family events and entertainment in the centre. UTV’s Julian Simmons hosted proceedings on Saturday along with Highland Radios Lee Gooch who was broadcasting live from the centre. Customers were treated to free giveaways such as O2 accessories, Jack & Jones clothing and Vouchers for Benetton, Name It and McGee’s Butchers. The line up on Saturday also included kids dance act ‘Dynamic Waves’ and ‘Fox N Crew’ and the centre continued with the party atmosphere throughout the birthday weekend with Face painting, Kids Nail Artists, Magicians, Balloon Modeling, Puppets and mall characters.
To celebrate 25 years of success, the management of Letterkenny shopping centre also gave away over €5,000 in shopping vouchers. Winners were picked out of the massive ‘Birthday Cake’ entry box and announced live on Highland Radio by Lee Gooch and UTV’s Julian Simmons. 1st Prize Winner, Maeve McHugh won €2,500 in Shopping Vouchers, 2nd Prize Winner, Sam Peoples won €1,500 in Shopping Vouchers and 3rd Prize Winner, Patricia Barker won €1,000 in Shopping Vouchers.
